Hidden River Arts has just celebrated its 20th anniversary! It’s been a long, winding road; and we’ve slowly added programs and activities and competitions. Looking back, there is a lot of growth to be happy about.
We have three wonderful competitions – our fiction, drama and book-length competitions. We have live arts events that are exciting and well-attended. We have a growing independent small press, and new workshop programs. We will be expanding our competitions, growing our workshops, courses and tutorials, and launching several new exciting programs, so stay tuned here for updates.
We have TWO new titles. Recently launched, an Eludia winner, Inscription by Christine Whittemore, was published this month. Sleepers Awake, by Tree Riesener, another Eludia winner, is about to be launched. Next in line is our third Eludia winner, The Accidental Wife and Other Stories, by Orla McAlinden, which should be out by late 2015/early 2016.
Our next round of the Eludia Award is currently accepting manuscripts, beginning November 1, 2015 (see guidelines). The submission deadline is March 30, 2016. The prize is $1000, and publication on our Sowilo Press imprint.
